``Crew1: Something looks odd out there! ``Crew2: You are dreaming things, especially as it is a long space flight. ``Crew3: Number 1, that is not the south star of Cassiopeia as it should be on our port side. ``Crew1: Well number 2, what star is it on our starboard side? ``Crew2: I will get the sextant. --- According to the sextant we are way off course. ``Crew3: Everything is reading correct number 1. ``Crew1: Send out a mayday, and send a message back to Fleet Air Control, we need immediate help. Try sending one to Deneb, warning them we are off course. ``Crew3: We are a qef from anywhere!
[Fleet Control]
``Control: Mayday received. Pipe in Eagle 19. --- ``Beagle: Pan, pan, pan; Gilly to Control emergency clearance for landing over. ``Control: Fleet to Gilly land on SP2 over. ``Beagle: Touching down, down. --- What has happened? ``Control: Eagle 8 is in trouble, and is way of course. ``Beagle: That is a qef to nowhere. Has Eagle 8 been updated? ``Control: Control to works over? ``Works: Zaa Control. ``Control: Has Eagle 8 been updated? ``Works: Qaa. It was too busy to come in. ``Beagle: There is only answer! Call in Vanna, so sound the alarm bells. ``Fleet: What is wrong? ``Beagle: Eagle 8 is off course and we do not know where they are! ``Fleet: Go and find them? ``Beagle: They could be a qef out and their navigational computer must be faulty. ``Fleet? Answer? ``Beagle: Vanna? ``Fleet: Approved, but get after them anyway.

``Crew3: Control have actioned the emergency, and they are having to call in an outside expert. ``Crew: That will be a laugh. ``Crew1: Crew, I want a full cross check status report. I will talk to our passenger.
[Eagle 19]
``Beagle: Team. I have raided the Munch bar for supplies for two qefs and have taken 20 bottles of water.

``Beagle: She is not answering and no one is answering the divert.

``Vanna: Zaa. ``Beagle: Beagle here, we have and emergency on so where are you? ``Vanna: At the Spa. ``Beagle: Meet me on route towards Andromeda. Eagle 8 is lost. ``Vanna: Okay mail, my Mum and Leila on the emergency and tell them to meet me at Airbase, as I am on my way. ``Beagle: We are ready for lift off team. Eagle 19 to Control, immediate lift off required over. ``Control: Eagle 19, You are clear to go over.

``Ziggy to Airbase, dropping down, drawbridge down. Quano crew. Drawbridge up. Ziggy to airbase lifting of for Cosmo over. Docking. [Clonk] Docked. ``Leila: Checks completed. ``Selina: Course laid in for Andromeda. ``Vanna: Mach 25K and zoom. ``Selina: ETA 5 hours. ``Vanna: All available data is on your data screens. Neither do we know where they actually are.

``Beagle: Zaa. ``Vanna: This is a crazy long trip. ``Beagle: They have a reserve tank. ``Vanna: Not now, as they are way off course! ``Eagle: You have spare fuel. ``Vanna: Zaa, but I have not had time to refuelled from our last trip. ``Beagle: Oh heck. ``Vanna: I will put Cosmo 1, on standby.

``Vanna: I did not expect to get an answer, but it should go through to the Cosmo fone.
