Alien Escapade º Episode 0369 - The Presenttation: Presenter, Zola, ~ 2 {Screen Network Documentary Show 11 + Zola 09, Interview ~ 2} ``Presenter: Often things do not go the way we expect them to go, or some things just go wrong from the start. However mechanical failure is okay when you can pull over to the side of the way and get assistance, but what do you do when you are stranded in space? ``Zola: We had prepared for this eventuality, and contingency plans were in place, but it is a different epi0 when it actually happens. ``Presenter: Where were you? ``Zola: We were roughly 95% on route towards Earth, but without hyperdrive, it would have taken another 2 qefs to get to there. The problem being it would take 45 qefs to get home. ``Presenter: That is amazing as you would be in space for over a month, but could you survive that long? ``Zola: Possible, as we have ration packs. Also we could had hopped over to the mainland on Earth and pick up additional provisions. The real problem would be the air conditioning and the psychological dilemma of being stuck inside such a small space ship for such a long period of time. ``Presenter: Did you get any warning? ``Zola: Qaa, we suddenly heard a ‘bang, bang, bang’ and we started slowing down. ``Presenter: Space Cavern did respond? ``Zola: Oh zaa, but our crew was busy trying to locate the fault, and naturally they went for the three easy fixes, although the third meant Kirin going for a space walk. ``Presenter: However, that did not resolve the problem? ``Zola: Qaa. The fault was in the Microwave duct due to a hairline crack, which was probably caused by metal fatigue. ``Presenter: But the crew did not have the parts to fix it? ``Zola: Qaa. We knew Bugby was on their way, and we hoped they would bring the rights parts with them, as they knew it was a hyperdrive failure. ``Presenter: Then what happened when they arrived? ``Zola: Pilot in their Bugby Saucer, had to piggyback upside down to use the escape hatch, so the two engineers could come through and carry out repairs, which took 3rd times to complete. ``Presenter: A mammoth task in itself? ``Zola: Zaa and Skipper helped the crew, but Leila, Vanna and myself were helpless to do much, and all we could do was stay glued to the display and give some additional encouragement. ``Presenter: What did you do for an encore? ``Zola: We convinced Pilot and his crew, to come on down to our remote Island on Earth. They undocked, and we did a test run up to Mach 9, then hit the button, and we had hyperdrive again. Pilot followed us and within 2nd times we were in outer Earth’s orbit. ``Presenter: You spent the qef on the island? ``Zola: Zaa which was a welcome break, fortunately it was early morning when we landed and their sun was warm, although it can be bitterly cold and landing impossible in stormy weather. ``Presenter: What did the Bugby crew think of this Island? ``Zola: Quaint. It was very inspirational for all of us, and we were able to feel our feet again in the heavier atmosphere. ``Presenter: How did you all get home? ``Zola: It would have taken Bugby at least 29th times to get home, and Leila came up with a possible solution! That being piggyback Bugby again onto our Saucer, but will hyperdrive still work? ``Presenter: And did it work? ``Zola: Zaa, but we were apprehensive. It also meant that Pilot and Navigator could join us as passengers, with the two engineers. ``Presenter: You appear to have come out of this unscathed, but how are you dealing with the aftermath? ``Zola: We got off lightly as everything else was running normally and we were still travelling at Mach 9. None of us will ever forget it, and what kept us all going was knowing that we had a professional team. ``Presenter: Will you continue with the trips? ``Zola: It will be a Team decision, and one we are still contemplating. ``Presenter: Well folks, this could of turned into a tragic event, by losing everyone in one go. Whereas I thank the rescue team from Space Cavern, Skipper, Jarry, Kirin and our Captain, and the 3 Cats, who all deserve a round of applause.
