Episode 1106 - Lacerta 2nd Trip 1:
Official, Vanna, Wife ~ 03

{Cosmo. Citadel in transit to Lacerta ~ 1}
``Vanna: I have my travel trolley and food packs, but I do not know what to take them as a gift. Oh well another time. I must check that the hatches are secured, and I will take a walk around the whole ship and inspect everything, not forgetting the crystals. I have 5 green lights above the air door, so up onto the upper deck, and onto the bridge. Navigational computer is on and ready. Input my sub routine Vanna 2, with user name and password, and I should be ready to go! Question time! Lacerta? Si; Partire? Si; Velocity 000? Mach 120; Avanti? Si; Aspetto! That means it is thinking about it, and I am off. ETA equals 17-hours. Wonderful.
[Cosmo Mess]
I will get some croak beans brewing and warm up a rock cake. I can then go down to the gym and do some light exercises. I fancy a swim, but I do not think I will suggest it. Although I can have a shower, so I will make do with that. Memories are buzzing around in my head, being here on my own, and the last time I was here. However, I can sit back and relax, knowing I will not be bothered. I did get some sleep with Pilot, so I am not really tired. I will go to the quiet room and read my novel.

I am getting hungry, and it must be food time, so I will put the food pack in the oven. I am half way there, as it will only take 17 hours, which is a vast improvement on the last visit. That was a nice and spicy meal. Time has move on quite quickly and I already am feeling a lot better. However, I think it will take a long time for me to ignore the missile attack. Perhaps it is the shock that my life would immediately have changed.
[Cosmo Bridge]
``Vanna: We are slowing down so back to the Bridge. It is asking me for Mach 14? Si. So that will take two units. The course is changing. Blimey we are going a different route. Mach 04? Si. I have not seen those other stars before. ``Mach 01? Si. We are here! Docking ?? Si. [Clink] docked. Powering down to standby mode. Air door has gone to Amber. So I can go, and I am early.

``Official: Welcome Vanna. ``Vanna: Greetings Official. ``Official: We can go and meet the wife, and have a chat and refreshments. I will then take you over to my parents. ``Vanna: Wonderful.

{Lacerta, Official's Residence ~ 2}
``Wife: Welcome Vanna. ``Vanna: Greetings [Hugs]. ``Wife: It is lovely to see you back. ``Vanna: I needed it after my sortie. ``Official: It is a tremendous achievement, although a devastating one, and you get no praise just some mutual appreciation. ``Vanna: It was the missile attack which was the crunch time, and none of us would have been here to tell the tale. ``Official: Oh I see it now. ``Wife: Anyway, let me do you a light snack. ``Vanna: I will have your traditional tea please. ``Wife: Sure. ``Official: Where are you going on this trip?

``Vanna: A two day trip to the Blue Mountain settlement, which is by your equator? ``Official: Excellent choice, but it is by invitation only. ``Vanna: Please arrange it, and I will go tomorrow. ``Official: I have passed it on to Dada to arrange. ``Vanna: Can I use my scroll-card? ``Official: Not everywhere is yet on the new system, therefore I will give you a new visitors pass for back up, as they have to get used to using the new system. ``Vanna: Sure. The other place I would like to visit is your Volcano. ``Official: We can all go in Ziggy. ``Vanna: That is a lovely bonus. Are you a pilot? ``Official: No officially, but I can fly. ``Vanna: I think you ought to get your wings. ``Official: I will consider it. ``Vanna: Once you have got your license it is easy to keep it up, especially as you are a pilot of sorts.
