Alien Escapade º Episode 0511 - The Technology: Captain, Kirin, Leila, Scotty, Selina, Systems, Pilot, Tetra, Vanna, Yafo, Zola, ~ 11 {Space Dock Control ~ 2} ``Kirin: Pilot is coming in, in the S182. ``Captain: Excellent. Get Dalbir to take over the radio. ``Kirin: He is with Skipper at Hobbs City. ``Captain: Blast. Get someone in temporarily in from the Mob, until we can get either Tetra or Vanna. We can no longer closed 'Space Dock. ``S-Pilot: We have moved the drawbridge light unit over to the left side, and we basically took the easy way out, but we think it is better. We had to put in a new supporting frame for the instrument panel, so as to give you those extra centimetres you needed, but it means that one row of instruments is now along the top, at a 45º angle, so you may have to stand up. There are two Mach speed indicators, and one is digital and the other is an analogue display, both having a setting tab for high or low. We have mounted your ray-guns switches on top of each other, to gain more space. The supercharger company think that the non return flow valve was in the wrong way around, but it did not show up as a fault in test mode. However they have changed it with a few other components, but they did say, “we would be grateful if you can do another test run on this prototype supercharger”. ``Captain: I get the message. ``S-Pilot: I have had your Saucer checked for stress, and officially inspected. They have been notified as well in the change of specification. Therefore you have a new Certificate of Space Worthiness. Quin, advise your insurance company. ``Captain: Confirmed. ``S-Pilot: Therefore everything has been done for the next year, as long as you do not run into any more meteorites. [Ha, ha] ``Kirin: Very funny. ``S-Pilot: Moreover, I need to get home to catch up on some missed sleep. ``Captain: Certus. ``Jarry: Drawbridge up. That is better, I can see the ‘three green’ lights now. ``Captain: Whizz, Kirin. ``Kirin: She does handle differently, so my reactions are slightly different. Can we use the supercharger at low speeds, say if we needed more power in a storm? ``S-Pilot: I cannot see why not, but take it is easy for awhile quin. ``Jarry: Mach 9. ``Kirin: I think we had better try slowing down. ``Jarry: Mach 4. Recommend Mach 1 otherwise you will overshoot. ``Captain: Confirmed. ``Kirin: Mach 0, it is. ``Jarry: it is slowly losing speed, and the gauges appear to be actually moving this time. We have clearance to land. ``Kirin: Dropping down. Down. ``Captain: Zaffre Pilot, and we will be in touch. ``Jarry: Drawbridge down. ``S-Pilot: Zimo. ``Jarry: Drawbridge up. ``Captain: Whizz. ``Kirin: I will keep her to Mach 4, because I too want to get home today. ``Captain: Zaa, and me. We will do some more tests tomorrow. ``Jarry: And what about me? ``Captain: Of course you, Jarry. ``Jarry: We are cleared to land. ``Kirin: Dropping down. Down. Captain, I suggest that we all go home, now? ``Captain: Confirmed. Switch the radio through to the Mob. {Vanna’s Trullo + Meeting ~ 5} ``Vanna: The Cosmology teacher is coming in shortly, so we need to confirm a date and time. ``Leila: It will have to be at 14th time, on a week qef. ``Vanna: I will leave you to talk to Skipper and our Captain. Any news Scotty? ``Scotty: The Oligarchy has put on hold the video link to Hobbs City, owing to costs. ``Vanna: We can do it through here. Give me the access codes, and Tetra and I will set it up. ``Scotty: What about bandwidth? ``Vanna: Unlimited. ``Scotty: How did you manage that? ``Vanna: Later. How far have you got with the plateau? ``Scotty: It is in hand and they are working on it around the clock. This order is even bigger than Twig Mountain, which was a huge challenge to them. ``Leila: If they can do that, they can do this one. ``Scotty: What about their bill? ``Leila: Try ¢50,000.
