Alien Escapade º Episode 1629 - Lacerta 29th P2: Advisor, Devisor, Engineer, Official, Selina, Vanna ~ 06 {Lacerta Work Shop ~ 6} ``Official: Welcome Selina, and we are all sorry about your ordeal. ``Selina: Zaffre Official, and I accepted the dangers, but it is nice to have some mutual respect. ``Devisor: We zaffre for offering to updates the SAAC rules, as I would not want an outsider noising around. ``Engineer: Any comments? ``Vanna: It is all working okay, but owing to two sorties we have not been able to consider anything else. ``Devisor: What about the fuel. Again we have only been on short runs. However we have proved that we are getting 24 hours to one tank of fuel against 20 hours. That in itself is a blessing. ``Official: Cosmo 2 was never designed for mach 5000 and the hull has never been stress tested. ``Vanna: It was a straight forward manoeuvre and everything is working okay. The crew do a full check and did not find any problems. She runs well and there are no known abnormalities. ``Selina: She has been good. ``Devisor: The real problem is that it is not going to stop there, and you will do anything to get out of a situation! These new missiles can twist around better than you can. ``Vanna: Exactly. All we could do was to loop the loop. ``Devisor: So what can you do about it? ``Vanna: There is only one answer. Pilot, Tetra and Chela are all being trained up. Therefore they could come out and help us, if we did break down, and they would have the speed, in Cosmo 1. If some of our functions were knocked out, they can bring us home. This is what the problems were with the Vulcans, they are too slow and vulnerable and not built for this type of work. ``Devisor: None of the Vulcans or Cosmos, were designed for these engagements. We mainly did this, because it was requested by Gaffer. ``Selina: Gaffer has said it himself. We are the only ones who can cope. ``Official: I have been talking to Gaffer again, and he has other assignments lined up for you just as bad, so what will happen, when you start pushing the limits? ``Vanna: He has warned me. ``Official: We need a break, can you pop back in half time? ``Vanna: Certus. [Break] ``Selina: It is a very heavy atmosphere in there. ``Vanna: I know what they are up to and I cannot blame them as they are right. ``Selina: Go on! ``Vanna: We need more flexibility on the Saucer. ``Selina: So everyone knows the answer, but they do not want to give in! ``Vanna: Correct. The other problem is we could still get crippled and that would be devastating for all of us. The more intricate things are and the more skills we have, we still may want to go pass the limits. ``Selina: I see it now. They are telling you off, so you do not get over confident, that you can do anything. ``Vanna: A very profound conclusion. [Meeting] ``Selina: May I butt in before we get going! Vanna and I have had major words, and we can see where you are coming from, and that you are right to take this action. It does not matter what we are in, but getting over confident will jeopardise us all and the mission. ``Vanna: I too accept this and I will have to back away from certain activities and go back another time. ``Devisor: That is more in line with the responsibility which you have to everyone. This is what your Captain should have done, but he put everyone in danger. ``Vanna: Point taken. ``Devisor: You have to learn what the stress factors are, and keep within those limits. ``Advisor: What has been decided, which is within your comprehension is that if you disobey you will end up with only having Cosmo 1. That is if you are still alive to tell the tale; and you unnecessary bring back a crippled ship for the wrong reasons. ``Vanna: That makes total sense and I agree. ``Advisor: You are still missing the point, if Cosmo did blow up it would become a bomb and a fireball.
