Alien Escapade º Episode 1342 - The Scrutiny: Boffin, Pilot, Selina, Vanna, Zep, ~ 05 {Space Cavern ~ 2} ``Pilot: Both are in a bad state. The tail whip has hit something, and it is buckled. so I have to replace the lot. They have one in Algol. ``Vanna: Okay we will pick it up and bring it straight back. ``Pilot: The problem is it too long to go in the Hold of Bugby. ``Vanna: We can take the Snake. ``Pilot: We cannot land the Snake in a small place or the Eagle. ``Vanna: Take the Vulcan or wait for the monthly Eagle flight, and send over as a goods. ``Pilot: We can afford to wait. So I agreed. The computer needs upgrading. ``Vanna: We got it for ¢5K so we have room to play with. ``Pilot: We are talking ¢5K for parts. ``Vanna: It is worth ¢15K and this one is for Skipper, so I do not mind in the least. ``Pilot: Okay: The Vulcan has had a bump and they are stripping it down to find out whether it is superficial or it is dented. I will have the SAAC over regardless to scrutinize it. So they are both big jobs. ``Vanna: Well it is better than having nothing. I presume you can repair the skin? ``Pilot: There is a weeks work, if Cheb has got the bits. ``Vanna: You have the time. ``Pilot: I will get these bits order up and we can make a move. ``Vanna: Take me somewhere very rural. ``Pilot: There is one place I have heard off but, it is very expensive. ``Vanna: I will pay. ``Pilot: Okay, it is a long way, so grab us a drink. ``Vanna: Certus. Could we not take a Hopper? ``Pilot: Maybe next time. {SAA HQ ~ 5} ``Zep: Have you come to do some work at last? ``Vanna: Until I can find something else wrong! I have the trio here, so let us see if we can do the impossible. ``Zep: You have certainly done that. ``Vanna: Reading Cables report, the supply cables were not within modern specification. I know for a fact that the inspector never misses anything, so they would have eventually been condemn. However, everything has been done. Who is the computer boffin here? ``Zep: I will take you to him. ``Boffin: Zaa Zep. ``Zep: This is Vanna, and she is upgrading all your computers, and needs to have words with you. ``Boffin: Zaa Vanna. ``Vanna: Are they running all the same packages? ``Boffin: Most are. We will get yours working first! ``Vanna: Where do you want all your backups stored? ``Boffin: Keep one in the basement next to your new type. I can back up all their data on to mine. ``Vanna: Excellent. Most things are logical and once you got the gist of things, you will be able to show the others. I will give you the override password, but keep it locked in a safe. ``Boffin: Crikey it is fast. ``Vanna: It will slow down a bit once we have loaded everything up. So let us go down the basement. There is the network password. Here is yours and you are on line. Once we have them all in and working we will leave the rest to you. ``Boffin: Certus. How do I call up Space Dock? ``Vanna: Use the 'visual' icon and you will get a list of icons. There is one for the roof, so just click on it. ``Boffin: Nice view. ``Vanna: We pop back in when we are passing or we will come out if you get stuck. ``Boffin: Zarfs, I may need it, as you have so many more facilities. ``Vanna: You have restricted access to some areas so they are all hidden away. I will go and find the others. Zimo. --- Zep, we are initially all done and it is down to Boffin to do the rest. Therefore Zimo for now. ``Zep: Zimo. {Sandalwood Fundus ~ 2} ``Selina: What is next? ``Vanna: A double trip? ``Selina: Go on! ``Vanna: The Orange Zone! A trip to Planta to refill, and a trip on to Planet 12 to meet the Beakers. ``Selina: Oh heck! How have you sussed this one out? ``Vanna: Initially it came up in conversation with Puella, but it takes qefs for them to get there. We can do easily in a qef. ``Selina: What are they like? They were a prehistoric tribe and they have had to adapt to survive. ``Vanna: I am waiting on Advisor, as they are updating the computers from the new coordinates. ``Selina: That is amazing. Who can come? ``Vanna: I think it will be the usual 7 of us, but put it out to tender and see what happens. ``Selina: How soon? ``Vanna: We will just go when I get the computers back. ``Selina: Your typical short notice again?
