``Vanna: A mail message from Auntie. Subject - Gateway. !!Dear Vanna, we are having trouble getting the cable specification to 1362 standard. Will the normal standard do? I will reply. Qaa. We have it made here especially to 1362 Therefore I will order some more up and get sent over to you, but how much do you need? Regards Vanna. Sent. --- A mail message to Cables. Subject - Sales. Dear Cables, I need another 2Km of cable to go out to Algol. I will advise on final length. ASAP . Regards Vanna. How the hell can I finance another trip to Algol, as it will be too big and heavy to go by robot service? I had better talk to our Captain.

{Space Dock Tower ~ 2}
``Vanna: Captain can we have a word in your office, quin? ``Captain: Zaa. --- Go on! ``Vanna: I have to get 2km of cable out to Algol. ``Captain: Oh heck. Do you want to do the trip before or after Earth? ``Vanna: It is up to you, unless we went straight from Algol to Earth. ``Captain: That is a different idea, and we would save a few hours. How long before the cable is ready? ``Vanna: A pair of qefs. ``Captain: Let me talk it over with the crew. ``Vanna: Zarfs. Zimo. I think I will drop in on Cables.

{Cables HQ ~ 2}
``Gov: Zibo Vanna. ``Vanna: I was out, so I thought it would be easier to come and see you. ``Gov: The link to Oligarchy Offices is completed. ``Vanna: Wonderful news. ``Gov: We caught Qualla in, so both cables go up to Floor 1, and only one cable goes into Floor Zero. ``Vanna: Okay, I will go and see Qualla. However, I am panicking because I have to get 2 Km of cable to Algol and it is financing another trip. ``Gov: We can have it ready in 3 qefs. Do you want us to continue with the extension? ``Vanna: Zaa, for security backup. ``Gov: Okay. We could come out to Algol and lay the cable for you. ``Vanna: That is an interesting idea. ``Gov: We could do the lot in two qefs. ``Vanna: Costs? ``Gov: You pay the travel and hotel expenses and I will chuck the cable in free. ``Vanna: Wow that is a good offer worth considering. However, you must have the new Scroll-cards, so get them updated. I will pop back and see our Captain. Zimo.

{Space Dock Tower ~ 2}
``Vanna: Captain can we have another word in your office, quin? ``Captain: Zaa. --- Go on! ``Vanna: I have just had an offer from Cables, that if I pay for the trip to Algol, they will lay the cables which will take 2 qefs, and they will chuck the cable in free. ``Captain: Zaa, so before or after Earth? ``Vanna: They will now have to be two separate trips, and I am concerned about the Chinese. ``Captain: In that case, Earth is first. ``Vanna: Okay so when can we go to Earth? ``Captain: Tomorrow with Skipper. ``Vanna: Agreed. ``Captain: I will get a time fix and mail you. ``Vanna: Zarfs and zimo. --- What a change in attitude!

{Chamber Of Qualla + Vanna ~ 2} - [Knock, knock] ``Qualla: Quiff. I thought it would be you. ``Vanna: Wonderful news. ``Qualla: Let me show you the two boxes, on the first floor and they are marked up as in your Trullo, as Pinky and Perky. ``Vanna: So where is the computer? ``Qualla: We only have one, which is on Floor 0. ``Vanna: I will get Scotty to get you one in whilst we are away. ``Qualla: Earth? ``Vanna: Zaa, tomorrow. You should be able to receive Algol Network 4 on Pinky. ``Qualla: That will be interesting. ``Vanna: When we get back from Earth we are off to Algol. ``Qualla: I will come. ``Vanna: Certus. Cables are coming too. ``Qualla: So it will be the Vulcan? ``Vanna: It is looking that way. ``Qualla: Can I buy you lunch? ``Vanna: Wonderful, but let me send a couple of mails first quin. Where are we going, Path Restaurant? ``Qualla: Certus. Have you heard the news about the cartel: ``Vanna: Tetra did mention it in a mail message. ``Qualla: They have caught the local ring leader. ``Vanna: Three lots of good in one qef, this is unheard of. ``Qualla: We have all worked hard to make it happen.
