``Vanna: Mum, you have got a one-sided argument, in my favour which is a compliment, but there are others! Take Leila, and Zola and now Ming who is on the space shuttle program. So we will have to wait and see who comes forward for Elder 5’s job. ``Selina: Okay, I see what you mean. You win. ``Vanna: Also that in itself could be classed as a takeover, just taking the post of Liaison Officer, which could create havoc among the Cassiopeians, and I would be in the front line. Moreover, we have to keep the peace at all costs! So let them take over and if they then mess things up, I might then step in. ``Selina: Okay, enough said. At least I have got it of my chest. ``Vanna: That is what I like about the Italians, they have a big bust up and after they have quietened down, whoever is in the wrong goes and fixes the problem. ``Selina: We are all like that in our family!

{Elders Emergency Meeting ~ 8}
``Elder 3: This meeting is to reconfirm the advertising for Elder’s 5 replacement; and now to discuss a replacement for Yafo, after he was duly sacked by the Chair. Therefore do we need a new Liaison Officer? But can we make do with someone else.
``Elder 7: Yafo was too nosy, so we do not need his talents.
``Elder 8: Definitely someone with less experience.
``Elder 9: He was too helpful at the wrong times.
``Elder 2: Now that we have a team, we can do away with his skills.
``Elder 4: I think some form of Liaison Manager, would be sufficient.
``Elder 6: He was too inquisitive, so we need a general Liaison Manager.
``Elder 3: I too think we need a messenger.
``Elder 1: I do agree with all your suggestions. Therefore shall we have a ‘Liaison Manager? [- Zaa’s -] ``Elder 3: In that case, the post does not have any additional rights or privileges and the Bear or Cat can also look after general security and deal with the public direct, keeping us hidden away.
``Elder 7: I too agree as I very seldom get left alone when I am out. This way, everything can be directed through one Being, and we can then respond accordingly, only allowing simple answers.
``Elder 3: We appear to have a mandate, so can we take a vote to adopt? [- Zaa’s -] Approved Chair.
``Elder 1: This is good news, and I concur. Therefore meeting can be closed.

{Dam Restaurant + Gera + Vanna ~ 2}
``Gera: You are causing quite a stir! ``Vanna: I have done nothing wrong. In fact I have kept out of it, so I do not get the blame. ``Gera: We have noticed that, and we are now going to have a Liaison Manager, some who is not too clever, but sensible. ``Vanna: That is a much better idea, it appears that you are pulling your socks up at last! ``Gera: Cheeky. So you do not really want the Post? ``Vanna: Not at the moment. ``Gera: I still cannot make you out at times! ``Vanna: Perhaps that is a good thing. ``Gera: Maybe. ``Vanna: Any new rumours on old Elder 02? ``Gera: Qaa. It is a puzzle, because someone is hiding the facts.

{Zola’s Place + Vanna ~ 2}
``Vanna: The new Post is being advertised, but for a Liaison Manager! ``Zola: In that case, I could apply for it. ``Vanna: Certus, but why do you need it? You have money. ``Zola: I just wanted to be convinced not to take it, so zaffre. ``Vanna: Joya says there are two skools wanting to go on our Island trip. ``Zola: Blimey, how are they going to raise the qintars for that? ``Vanna: I think it will come out of a special budget and parents will have to chip in too. ``Zola: I think we ought to have a pay rise. ``Vanna: You will have more TV shows. ``Zola: I would strongly suggest that you stop up here, and enjoy other things. ``Vanna: You win.
