Alien Escapade ºº Episode 0189 - The Meeting: Dàshî, Ding, Leila, Wendy\Vanna ~ 4 {fángzi + Guests ~ 4 + Ding as translator} – [In China] ``Dàshî: Ni häo. ``Ding: Ni häo. May I introduce Wendy and Leila. ``Vanna: Ni häo. ``Leila: Ni häo. ``Dàshî: Let me show you our gardens, as I can assure you that other than normal security, we are well secured here within our landscape. --- ``Vanna: Impressive. ``Leila: Very nice. ``Ding: Chinese tea and cakes are being served in the conservatory. ``Wendy & Leila: Xìèxìe. ``Vanna: Where is the nearest, military airfield? ``Ding: About 180 Km from here. ``Vanna: Will you tell them we are coming? ``Ding: No, but we will tell them to create a ‘no fly zone’, and we will make sure they are not on duty, so any activity will be moved to another military airport. ``Leila: Where is the next nearest military airport? ``Ding: Ur! About 900 Km from here. ``Vanna: How wide will the zone be? ``Ding: 100 Km.? ``Leila: Upper limit? ``Ding: Infinity, and where do you get your skills from? ``Vanna: I have achieved 100 hours flying time at PPL level. ``Dàshî: We need to know the downward thrust area of your Saucer, so we can protect our lawns! ``Leila: It is only a small Saucer, and it can only take 8 travellers, so it is cramped at times, but 20 metres would be plenty, which allows for wind displacement and dust storms, as these will move upwards and not sideways as in a normal wind. You might find some fruit will get pulled off from a few trees. ``Dàshî: What about landing? ``Leila: All we need is your exact international coordinates, to as many decimal places as possible. It would be nice to have some maps please, of the area, large scale and smaller scale, so we can do cross-checking for calibration purposes as our equipment has been adapted for Earth. ``Dàshî: So where would you normally fly to? ``Vanna: Cepheus. ``Dàshî: Another world? ``Vanna: Yes. ``Ding: Please follow us to the dinning room. --- Please take your seats and his wife will serve. --- Ni häo. --- ``Ding: There is a light lunch, as a token of our hospitality. ``Dàshî: What food do your alien friends eat? ``Vanna: They have adapted well, and we keep to the lighter food as it is more digestible for a few days until things improve. ``Leila: Bean stalks and noodles are too risky to start on. ``Vanna: However this is very nice and thank you. ``Dàshî: Do they like spicy food? ``Leila: No, it is quite bland. ``Ding: The Ambassador is impressed so far on how you have handled all this, but he is open to questions both ways, so what else is on your minds? ``Leila: How many people will be here, when we arrive? ``Dàshî: I will limit it to ten. ``Leila: You must have cameras everywhere and direct links with your head office. ``Dàshî: No we do not, because we are kilometres from anywhere. ``Vanna: You have Satellite phone links? ``Dàshî: Yes we do. There will be one security guard here for protection and he is armed. ``Ding: How long would your visit last for? ``Vanna: 1 hour on the first visit. ``Dàshî: How soon could this happen? ``Vanna: At a rough guess, within one month. ``Dàshî: You will give us some advance notice? ``Leila: Oh yes, we might even do a test run, because we can be two days out on calculations, owing to orbital position of our planets and time zones. ``Dàshî: You mean you do not have time zones? ``Leila: We do have similar day and night time, but we have two suns, and a standard time for the whole planet, like your lunar year. ``Dàshî: I hope your stay has been enjoyable as we are pleased to have met you. Do you need to make yourself comfortable before you leave? ``Vanna: Yes please. ``Ding: Come with me. Vanna: Zaa. --- ``Ding: The helicopter is ready for take off. [Thanks] We have delayed the flight back to the UK, by twenty five minutes, as there are seats available. It is the same procedure in reverse. ``Leila: Thanks. --- [Back on plane] ``Vanna: I will get a message out to Pam, with our flight number quick. ``Leila: I think we can certainly say that we are time travellers. ``Ding: I will leave you at Heathrow, to make your own way home. I believe that everyone was satisfied? ``Vanna: Most satisfactory and thank you for your support. ``Leila: I too have enjoyed our visit, and hopefully you have? ``Ding: Most certainly.
