Are you hungry? ``Qualla: A hot snack would be nice! ``Wendy: I am preparing the equivalent to Casein and tomato on toast. ``Qualla: Zarf’s. --- ``Leila: You came at just the right time. ``Wendy: Coffee! --- ``Leila: Food first, talks afterwards! --- Qualla: Nice, zaffre. --- Joya has asked me to come with you to the meeting with Dr Poult. ``Wendy: Good, and I am pleased. We will have to go shortly. Incidentally, Joya is in full approval over Scotty toeing the line. ``Leila: Excellent.

``Dr Poult: Thank you for coming and I am delighted to meet you. What I need to know is what level of assessment do you require. ``Wendy: A general level with the emphasis on adaptability to space lag, and whether they can communicate with others in space. ``Leila: Do they feel comfortable in strange company. ``Qualla: How will they react if they are confronted with a fear. ``Dr Poult: Most interesting. That means I can deal with this matter. Therefore a one-hour assessment would be adequate? ``Wendy: Absolutely. ``Qualla: A simple report, with a rating scheme, say 1} Okay, 2} Acceptable or 3} Doubtful. ``Dr Poult: That is fine. So how soon would you be likely to be sending me Beings, if approved? ``Leila: We have one potentially waiting, how long do you need? ``Dr Poult: I would like a week to get up to speed please, on this specific situation. ``Qualla: Send in your quote, and we will discuss it at the next meeting. Zimo.

``Wendy: How is our meeting coming along with the Captain? ``Qualla: He has been on rest time, but we should be okay for tomorrow. ``Leila: Just to confirm, it is only us three! ``Qualla: Confirmed.

``Scotty: I am not very pleased in having to apply through the official channels, so I can come down to Earth, considering I made it all possible in the first place! ``Leila: I am sure that will be taken into consideration, but although you have lived here for hundreds of years, you are a lot older than all of us, who so far have been to Earth. ``Wendy: Therefore you need to be checked, and you will be helping us by documenting it. ``Scotty: Um! [Dithering] If you put it like that I suppose I will have to accept. ``Wendy: I am sorry Scotty, but I cannot break the rules for anyone. ``Scotty: So what has happened to Dad? ``Leila: Wendy is right Scotty, because she is in charge and the responsibility is on her shoulders, and not yours.

``Scotty: Anyway I have received statements from Kirin and Zola, and will do a translation later. I need some guidelines on what you need to say in your application. ``Leila: I think you should initially stay out of this Scotty, but you to can add an independent statement. ``Wendy: Approved. Try this for a statement!

We have had the privilege of being on your planet now for over three months. I hope that we have outlived our quarantine status, and we would like our house arrest to be lifted please. We would like to suggest that we have inter-mingled well and there have been no side effects physically or mentally or emotionally. In fact. we have been able to get on far better than anticipated, and we thank the Cassiopeian’s for their cooperation in making it all possible. Moreover, there is so much more we need to do and can do, but we are being held back by these restrictions to allow us to go where we need to go. Therefore we ask the Oligarchy to approve our application for a Freedom Pass. We enclose supportive statements for approval.
