Dad has messages for us! ``Leila: I did not think the peace would last for long! ``Wendy: !!Dad says that you will be meeting the Elders this afternoon, because you have put them on the hop, as you did not ask their permission first! ``Leila: I like it! But, tell him Qaa! Let us say 19th time, and for our special tea. ``Wendy: Okay, I too like this. Standby!! Dad, later. I have told him. ``Leila: Let’s take a walk down this towpath. This stream is quite fast moving. --- ``Wendy: !!Dad: You win! Meeting at 19th time. ``Leila: Brilliant. Ask Scotty if I can have some lessons in this telepathic skill, which I presume is based upon the old ESP please? ``Wendy: Sure. The skills come from the 6 Dimension. !!Dad: Confirmed. We will all be meeting in the library, and transport is arranged. ``Leila: That will give us another 4-times. ``Wendy: I agree, they can wait. ``Leila: Let’s be late?

``Qualla: A light handshake is permissible! This is Chief Elder 1, Gera, the one you first met, when you landed. ``Leila: Zenden. ``Qualla: Elder 2, Yerba is deputy Chair. ``Leila: Zenden. ``Qualla: Elder 3, Jota our Secretary. ``Leila: Zenden. ``Qualla: Elder 4, Udal our treasurer. ``Leila: Zenden. ``Qualla: Elder 5, Utica, Promotions. ``Leila: Zenden. ``Qualla: Elder 6, Jove, Environment. ``Leila: Zenden. ``Qualla: Elder 7, Jabot administration. ``Leila: Zenden. ``Qualla: Elder 08, Zizz, duty Elder. ``Leila: Zenden. ``Qualla: Elder 9, Zareba. ``Leila: Zenden. So what position are you? ``Qualla: I am the liaison Officer. ``Leila: So E3, and E7 and you are Cats, because you have blue eyes; and the others are all Bears, with brown eyes? ``Qualla: Confirmed. ``Leila: It will take me while to get to know and learn all their names, but the Elders should be tolerant owing to our unusual set of circumstances. ``Qualla: I would think so. ``Leila: My initial reaction is that they are all different, but are manageable. ``Scotty: I am sure they would be pleased to hear you say that! ``Qualla: I will show you around our huge library, which is categorised similarly, but with some additional unusual subject headings and twenty eight characters in our alphabet. ``Leila: This language section would take years to perfect, and it sounds like a cross between Inca and Latin. ``Scotty: I too am having some difficulties with the translations, and their jargon, but it is grand. ``Wendy: How old are the Elders? ``Qualla: They only step down after 100 years of service.

``Qualla: The chief Elder wants to know how they are going to cope with you by-passing the system, as this is very dishonourable, and you would be considered as a distrust-worthy Being, and is a punishable offence! ``Leila: In retrospect I ask you, the Elders, for a vote of confidence in my quest to become one of the clan in your society. I too was caught on the hop, but I did have your authority to go to planet Q; yet neither did I contemplate that I would come back as a Cassiopeian. Therefore, this is an honour in itself that I have chosen your Stella System, which is a compromise, as we all win.

``Qualla: The Elders are having a little chuckle in their own language [then sudden quietness]. Elder 1: [Stands up] Your inauguration is tomorrow at midday, as long as they approve! ``Leila: Scotty, what does that mean? ``Scotty: It means that there will be three hundred odd officials here, who have to confirm your Inauguration, in a vote of confidence, because you were not duly elected in. ``Leila: Oh thanks, that’s okay.

``Wendy: Allora! Elders, I have managed to bring some tea back from Earth, would you please all like to try a delicacy of ours? --- [they Nod] --- Marvellous, please have a chat for 5 units, while we brew the tea in a teapot. We will pour it into the quaichs, which we have borrowed from your museum collection. Please hand them around. --- ``Qualla: Surprisingly most of them initially liked it, and only one was not sure.

Leila: So will they vote for me?
